Quattron 3D
With 4-primary colour technology, Sharp delivers life-like stereophonic
pictures with a bright screen and vivid colours, even with special glasses
required to view 3D pictures.
Quattron
Quattron is Sharp’s unique 4 primary colour system that integrates an
X-Gen panel and an LED backlight to deliver unprecedented reality in
natural colour gradations for a high-precision picture with low power
consumption.
3D
Adds an extra dimension to home entertainment and gives you
breathtaking stereoskopic viewing. The 3D picture is pin-sharp and really
true to life, with well-defi ned contrast and lifelike colours.
High Speed LCD
Sharp independently developed a slim LCD panel with a new material that
quickly responds to rapidly moving images, reducing afterimages in 2D
and reproduces a high-quality 3D picture.
AQUOS LED
Use of LEDs as the light source for AQUOS enables precise brightness control
and high-speed response, enabling breathtaking picture quality in ultra-high
contrast. LEDs also enable the industry’s lowest power consumption in
combination with the X-Gen panel.
Sub Pixel Control
New image processor controls the 4 sub-pixels (RGBY) independently for
higher resolution and less zigzags in the diagonal lines.
HDTV 1080P
HDTVs conform to DIGITALEUROPE criteria. The HDTV 1080p logo is applied to
equipment with 1,920 x 1,080 full-HD resolution and capable of supporting
1080p video formats.

Scanning Backlight 200 combines advanced 100Hz technology with Sharp`s new
scanning backlight technology to create a 200Hz effect that improves picture
clarity and smoothness in movies and sports programs.
100Hz Technology
A newly developed 100Hz technology recreates images with twice the number
of frames as conventional systems, resulting in a high response speed for scenes
in motion.
Skype
With Skype on your AQUOS, you can enjoy large screen video calls.
AQUOS NET+
The AQUOS NET+ menu gives you access to popular online services on your
TV. Use your remote control to navigate. You can surf the net. Check out
play channels. Download apps. Rent movies at the touch of a button.

Wi-Fi certifi ed
Wi-Fi is a trademark of the Wi-Fi Alliance that manufacturers may use to brand

Time Shift
Time shift enables replaying or pausing a programme while you are away from
the TV so that you never miss a scene.
USB REC
USB recording records free to air digital TV content on a connected USB stick or

depending on the TV set.

3 USB terminals enable various media playback and Net services via wireless
connection.

LED Backlight Mercury Free
The LED backlight system contains no mercury, and so it is more
environmentally friendly than conventional backlight systems.
Energy Save Mode (Eco Mode)
The backlight brightness can be lowered with an eco-button on the remote
control to reduce the power consumption during operation.
Low-Power Standby
Power consumption is reduced by restricting reception of electronic
programme guide (EPG) information when on standby.

European Union Eco-label
TVs with the EU Ecolabel have a low power consumption in on-mode and
standby, comply with strict chemical requirements and are designed for a long
lifetime and to facilitate recycling. Based on EU Eco-label criteria that have
become effective Nov. 2009.
Blu-ray Disc
Blu-ray Disc is a new-generation optical disc storage media format. While it has
the same 12-cm diameter as a CD or DVD, a Blu-ray Disc has up to five times the
information capacity of a DVD, with approx. 25 GB on a single-layer disc and 50
GB on a dual-layer disc.
Blu-ray 3D
In combination with AQUOS Quattron 3D, AQUOS Blu-ray 3D provides
stereophonic dynamism with superb brightness and high-quality imagery.
DVD-Video
DVD-Video is a technical specification stipulated by the DVD Forum for storing
video content on DVD media. The specification uses MPEG-2 for compressing
video and can be used to store more than two hours of video in high quality.
Compact Disc Digital Audio (CDDA)
Compact Disc Digital Audio system, or CDDA, is the standard for audio CDs. It
specifies the digital audio encoding as two channels of PCM audio, each signed
16-bit values sampled at 44,100 Hz.

Ability to play audio files stored on a CD-ROM.
MP3
Ability to play back MP3 encoded files.
BD-LIV

A variety of content, such as movie trailers with interactive functions, are
available using this format by connecting to the internet.
AQUOS LINK
By connecting an AQUOS unit and a Sharp Blu-ray Disc player using an HDMI
cable, the player can be easily operated using the AQUOS remote control.
BONUSVIEW
Optional features can be accessed by playing a Blu-ray Disc that is compatible
with BONUSVIEW (a.k.a. Profile 1.1). For example, on a sub-screen you can see
an outline of the film scene you are viewing or watch video on the making of
that scene while the film is playing on the main screen.
