ADJ M8 Photoconductor phase adjustment

This adjustment must be performed in the following cases:

• When the OPC drum is replaced.

• When the OPC drum is removed from the machine.

• When the OPC drum drive section is disassembled.

• When the OPC drum drive unit is replaced.

• When a U2 trouble occurs.

• When the PCU main PWB is replaced.

• When the EEPROM of the PCU main PWB is replaced.

1) Enter the SIM 44-20 mode.

2) Enter "2" in the setup item A (PRINT MODE) with the 10-key, then

press the [OK] key. (Default setting is 3.)

3) Select the paper feed cassette with A3 (11" × 17") paper in the

setup item E (PAPER SELECT), and press the [OK] key.

∗ Use the paper tray at the bottom.

4) Press the [EXECUTE] key, and the drum deflection adjustment

pattern is printed in four pages.

∗ Pattern N (1, 4, 7, 10) is printed.
