ZV-Port Compliant PC Card

To use a ZV-port compliant PC Card, you need to install CardWorks. When not

using ZV-port compliant PC Cards, uninstall CardWorks.

Installing CardWorks

1. From the Start menu, select Programs - Accessories - Notepad.

2. From the File menu, select Open.

3. In the field of File name, type:

C:\CONFIG.SYS

and click Open.

4. Change the following lines respectively

device=c:\windows\emm386.exe ram

DOS=HIGH,UMB

device=c:\windows\emm386.exe NOEMS X=D000-D7FF

(If you do not find the above line, just add.)

DOS=HIGH

5. From the File menu, select Save.

6. Close Notepad.

7. Restart the system.

8. Insert the Backup CD-ROM in the CD-ROM drive.

9. From the Start menu, select Run.

10. In the field of Open, type:

R:\PCCARD95\SETUP.EXE

and press Enter. The message appears.

11. Follow the instructions of the installation program.

12. To the question on reading Readme, click No.

13. Restart the system.

14. From the Start menu, select Programs - MS-DOS Prompt.

15. Type:

MKDIR C:\VPMUTIL

and press Enter.

16. Type:

COPY R:\VPM\ADJUST.EXE C:\VPMUTIL

17. Type:

EXIT

and remove the CD-ROM.
