Connecting to AC Power

The notebook can be powered by either the rechargeable battery pack or AC adapter.

See the next chapter for more information on power sources. The first time you use

the notebook, be sure to perform the steps below:

1. Make sure the notebook is turned off.

2. Connect the AC adapter cord to the notebook. (À)

3. Connect the AC power cord to the AC adapter. (Á)

• Always use the AC adapter supplied with the notebook (EA-W100V).

Using other AC adapters may damage the notebook.

• Always hold the AC adapter cord by its plug.

4. Plug the AC power cord into a wall outlet. (Â)

Before using the battery pack, be sure to initialize and fully charge it.
