Basic Operations

Text Entry
Keyboards
Use onscreen keyboards for text entry. In Numeric keypad,
multiple characters are assigned to each key. In QWERTY
keypad, a single letter is assigned to each key. Handwritten
input is also available.

Tap (Back) to hide keyboard.
・Most operation descriptions are based on NX!input.
Numeric Keypad Layout
・Keypad layout may vary by application.
・
Overwrite handwritten input is enabled ( ) by default,
and blue frames are shown on keyboard. However, operation
descriptions are based on Numeric keypad with Overwrite
handwritten input disabled ( ).
Current entry mode
Enable ( )/disable ( ) Overwrite handwritten
input. When enabled, blue frames are shown on keyboard
Adjuster Bar to adjust height and width of keyboard
Show menu for switching keyboards etc.; Touch & Hold
to start Voice input
Move cursor
Symbol list
Toggle entry modes
Smiley/Pictogram list
Hide keyboard; Return to previous window from menu;
Delete character during text entry
Touch & Hold to open Adjuster Menu
Delete character before cursor; Touch & Hold to delete
characters before cursor continuously; Flick up and
release on to delete character after cursor
Enter space
Line feed; Move to next entry area; Execute function or
confirm text entry
