Setting the Digital Zoom

Available in [, ], ;, ', , or . mode

You can select two different zoom ranges : 1-

3K (optical zoom), 3-9K (digital zoom).The

digital zoom allows you to record powerful

close-up pictures with the same operation as

normal zooming.

1 Turn on the camera in the desired mode.

2 Press the MENU button until the menu

screen appears.

3 Press l or m to select “O ”, then press

the SET button.

4 Press l or m to select “DIGITAL

ZOOM”, then press the SET button.

5 Press l or m to select “ON”, then press

the SET button.

6 Press the MENU button to turn off the

menu screen.

When using the digital zoom range, a “D”

appears in the zoom range indicator.

To use optical zoom only

Select “OFF” in step 5.

Note:

• When using the digital zoom, you have to turn

the LCD screen backlight on. When you turn off

the LCD screen (by pressing the SET/DISPLAY

button), the zoom returns to the optical zoom

range.
