The following controls are located on the local

terminal:

Individual parameters of the selected grinding

program are displayed and changed via the con-

trol terminal (3-9/1) of the SPS control.

The required operating mode is selected with the

selection switch "Manual Automatic“ for manual

or automatic mode (3-9/7).

The various grinding programs can be stored

and selected with the selection switch for grind-

ing programs "Program I II III"(3-9/2).

The button "Control On" (3-9/5) activates the

machine control.

The "Start" button (3-9/9) starts the selected

grinding program.

With the buttons "Knife feed forward" (3-9/3) and "Knife feed back"

2 (3-9/6) the knife is moved towards or away from the abrasive belt. this is necessary to adjust the

machine to different widths of knives, e.g. in the case of different knives or degree of wear.

To insert and remove the copy-grinding plate, the copy-grinding plate drive can be manually operat-

ed with the button "Replace copy-grinding plate" (3-9/4).

To stop the machine, the EMERGENCY-STOP switch (3-9/8) is pressed.
