Basic Procedure:

 Empty waste toner.

 Empty waste developer and remove the end cap.

 Fill up main compartment with fresh toner / developer, shake well.

J1 Reset:

When powered up, the machine will tone up... If at first the J1 returns…

open and close the front door. It may be necessary to do this several times.

If J1 is recurring with plenty of toner present… there may be a problem with

the machine… these are known for toner dispense problems. Ask about it,

Important Notes:

Difference from Sharp version:

The only difference between the Xerox

 and the Sharp SF-

2014/2114/2214 toner cartridge is the positioning of a hole in the toner

cartridge which lines up with a stud in the machine (riveted to the frame). If

the stud were missing from the machine, either style toner cartridge would

fit & function fine.

Developer replenishing:

Fresh developer comes mixed in with the toner, the older stuff migrates off

to be reclaimed in a waste compartment on the toner cartridge. The system

is designed never to need replacement developer but on occasion, it may be

needed & is available (could get contaminated or depleted). When replacing

the developer, you will need to run a setup code from diagnostics,

information is included with the developer we sell… never run the setup

code more than once.
