If you are installing a new toner
cartridge, remove the new toner
cartridge from its packaging. Shake as
indicated by the arrows to distribute
the toner evenly within the cartridge.
•
If the toner is still lumpy after shak-
ing, the gears in the cartridge may
make a noticeable sound when the
print compartment cover is closed
after installing the cartridge. This is
normal and does not indicate a
problem in the machine.

Hold the toner cartridge by the handle
and lower it into the print
compartment. Make sure that the four
pins (two on each side) fit into the
grooves on the sides of the
compartment.
•
Insert the cartridge by aligning the
colored “2” labels on the cartridge
and the side of the compartment
•
Make sure the toner cartridge clicks
into place.
